Update: The Sanhueza Welsh Family
We thank God for the wonders that He has allowed us to live in these last three months. How His powerful, holding hand has upheld, encouraged, and cared for us. Brethren, it is always a reason for thanksgiving to see how God keeps us in the ministry, every day there is something new to learn and be able to give, every day there is a life that needs to be led to the feet of Christ. We want to be servants who are faithful to His Word and faithful to his leading. Our prayer is constant, that God would teach us day by day to be servants who are humble and in communion with his Word, for our hearts, our lives, and our children. We are aware that we are upheld every moment by those prayers and the prayers of each one of you. The weariness is starting to be felt as the end of the year approaches. Yentzen will soon finish his first year in the Masters program. He is currently taking Expository Preaching at the Facultad Teologica Biblica Bautista seminary. The girls are finishing their school year. The different ministries are approaching the end of a very busy and fast-paced year, at times frustrating and sad but for the most part and as a whole, it has been good because God has wanted it that way.

Many, many thanks to those who have given in some substantial ways to help us "survive" the year. Some one-time gifts sent to the church have helped us almost break-even as a church family with our budget so that we are staying put even as a new baby arrives. Some volunteers have taken care of some project needs both in our home and to assist us with work related to BCP deaf committee. We appreciate so much the sacrifices you have made on behalf of the deaf for the glory of God!
Finally, this prayer letter will require a follow-up. I wrote it right before our retired sending pastor went home to be with the Lord. I posted it on our refrigerator for the past month and keep rereading it trying to figure out what is missing. I received my normal feedback from two trusted confidants that proof our letters before they are released. Yet as I have prayed, I sense there is a major "ah-ha" moment coming that will fulfill this communication. I wish I knew what that insight was right this very moment but I do not. Please pray as we balance ministry with our children, with our deaf, and with those the Lord puts in our path daily!

Latest News from Chile
It has been eight years since the time Yentzen accept God's call to pursue full-time service. It took years of education, years in which our good God shaped our character, and showed us His grace, mercy and care. Eight years of complete dependence on Him, eight years of preparation. We are so grateful to God that He allows us to serve in His work, and we are here only by His grace.

Greetings from Niamey. We are now into our last week of teaching in Niger, for this series of modules. We've had three really full weeks, so we are kind of glad to be on the final stretch before heading home. This is a busy week, as well, for all of us. We are grateful for the men and women that we have had in our modules; we have seen a lot of encouraging progress in a number of them.
Update from the Makis
Since composing this letter there has already been another answer to prayer with a memorial gift that came in directly to our church! Thank you for those who have chosen to give above and beyond the call of duty at this time.
Please give special prayer regarding 11 Nov. (yes, Veteran's day) Open House witnessing opportunity that we have at the California School for the deaf. This is a tremendous opportunity to impact our public school/institute with the gospel.
Finally, keep praying as the election in CA was quite different from that in the rest of the nation. One bright spot is that we do not have to contend with recreational pot usage yet but there is still much spiritual wickedness in high places.
