1 Both John and I made it back to the States safely.
2 I got my wedding dress!
3 The First Baptist West Seneca ladies had a wedding shower for me.
PRAYER:
1 Pray for Izumi and Ako as they continue girls' group.
2 Pray for us as we finish preparing for the wedding.

PRAISE:
1 The weather is warm now!
2 My students and I had fun laughing and chatting as we made and ate ice cream on Friday.
PRAYER:
1 I teach Joy Club on May 16.
2 Pray for wisdom and strength as I finish up my ministries here, pack and ship my things, and say goodbye to friends.  I will return to the US on June 1.
3 The Carrs and Sadowitzes need a new teacher for the coming school year.

PRAISE:
1 Last Sunday I went to the Aira church where I was in my early years in Japan.  Seeing friends was a blessing!
2 Izumi found a good apartment to move into in May.
3 On Wednesday, the girls in girls' group had fun taking pictures at the booths in the mall.
PRAYER:
1 My Friend Kai (singles' group)- May 8
2 Pray for the last month of school.

PRAISE:
Since November I have been corresponding with John Patton, an ABWE widowed missionary serving in Spain.  He visited me in Japan for Christmas, and I am visiting him in Spain now for spring break.  I am excited to announce our engagement!  He proposed on March 26 in El Botin, the oldest restaurant in the world.  We are planning a July 10 wedding in Gand Blanc, Michigan and will serve together in Spain.

PRAYER:
1 Pray for me as I wrap up my ministries in Japan the next two months.
2 Pray for John and me to have wisdom as we plan the wedding and our future together.
